Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, McDonald’s have stated that they will be closing all UK and Ireland restaurants by 7pm tomorrow (Monday 23rd of March).
The fast-food chain plans to distribute food and drink to community groups to help with the outbreak.
This comes after the government ordered cafes, restaurants, pubs and other public places to close in order to try and stop the spread of Covid-19.
McDonald’s said in a statement, “This is not a decision we are taking lightly, but one made with the well-being and safety of our employees in mind as well as in the best interests of our customers.”
