Meek Mill’s battles with the criminal justice system have been very well documented in the media since his arrest in late 2017. Many people held the opinion that Meek was unfairly sentenced after being arrested for doing a wheelie on a motorbike whilst on probation, this is after years of recurring issues in court with the same judge who sentenced him in this instance, Genece Brinkley. It has been said that Meek has spent over $30 million in lawyers over the last ten years.
Since his release late last month after five months in prison it has just been announced that he will produce a 6 part docuseries for Amazon Prime that will detail his fight to be exonerated whilst exposing flaws in the American justice system. One of the four executive producers involved is the one and only Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z and production will be handled by Roc Nation and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC).
Meek said on the series:
“I’m grateful for this unique opportunity to share my story and I look forward to collaborating with Amazon Prime Video, Roc Nation and The Intellectual Property Corporation on this incredible series”
It’s due for release in 2019. Without a doubt, this will be one of the most intriguing watches of the year. We will have all the Meek Mll updates here on GRM Daily.
