Meek Mill’s sophomore album ‘Dreams Worth More Than Money’ is set to top the Billboard 200 chart in it’s first week of release.
The MMG rapper is expected to sell around 216,000 copies in week one, making it the third highest rap opening week in 2015.
Such numbers will sky-rocket above rivalling artists, with second-placed Miguel’s ‘Wildheart’ set to reach the 40,000 region.
Delays had riddled the album – with the release date originally scheduled for 2014 – due to the Philadelphia artist violating probation and spending time behind bars.
However, following his exit from prison, and a complete revamp of ‘DWMTM’, the release has brought mounting success for Meek Mill in what is only his second studio album.
It features the likes of Nicki Minaj, Drake, The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Diddy & Swizz Beatz, which is likely to have increased figures.
Such news is likely to please Meek Mill, having surpassed the position and figures of his debut album.
His first album – Dreams and Nightmares – which was released in 2012, managed to reach No.2 in the charts, having accumulated 165,000 sales in its debut week.
Things seem to be getting bigger and better for Nicki Minaj’s other half, and long may it continue – well done!
