Frequent collaborators and industry friends Tory Lanez and Meek Mill appear to have fallen out over new artist Melii.
Melii recently toured with Meek Mill as a supporting act on his Motivation Tour and was expected to sign to his Dreamchasers record label however Tory recently revealed via an Instagram post that Malii has instead signed to his One Umbrella label.
Tory wrote, “I’m so proud of you! Watched u grind your way through everything .. when people tried to play you, you kept your head strong and focused! I’m happy that you dropped your first real project today Phases … and I’m also PROUD AF to announce and say that your (sic) part of our team !!!! Welcome to OneUmbrella“.

In response, Meek took to the comments to offer a now deleted response to Tory and his latest signee. The Philadelphia hailing rapper wrote, “This a corny ass move on both y’all end.”
Tory Lane is yet to respond however Melii took to her Instagram to initially address the controversy. She said, “I still respect Meek and off of emotions it’s okay to react the way he did but if we all take a step down and see it for was [sic] it is, I’m not the crazy bitch or the ungrateful person u want to make urself believe I am. My decision with going with Umbrella was based off an offer that was already there from years ago and wanting to better my craft and where I felt I belonged.”
Melli also added, “I never intended to snake anyone. If anything, I tried my best to work around many things that put me in uncomfortable situations. As a woman, a lot of things I stood for weren’t there, so I took the high road and gracefully removed myself.”
Melii was later interviewed by Nessa on New York’s Hot 97 radio station where she addressed the controversy again and described the issue as “miscommunication” stemming from all three of the artists having “egos”.
Melii suggested that a sit-down with all three might clear up the issue. Watch the full interview below.
Meek Mill and Tory Lanez have several tracks together including “Litty”, “Lord Knows” and “Drip Drip Drip” and the two were set to release a joint album at one point.
The possible brewing of this new beef comes after Meek Mill settled his longstanding feud with another Canadian artist, Drake. The two resolved their issues and have since become collaborators and friends again.
