Warner Bros have acquired the rights to create a film dedicated to Michael Brown who was tragically shot and killed by police officer Darren Wilson back in 2014.
The film company has reportedly won rights to Brown’s mother, Lezley McSpadden’s memoir “Tell the Truth & Shame the Devil: The Life, Legacy, and Love of My Son Michael Brown” co-written by novelist Lyah Beth LeFlore.
The motion picture will allegedly be produced similarly to 2005’s Oscar award-winning film Crash.
The Michael Brown incident was a truly significant tipping point for contemporary America in terms of race relations; the shooting of the 18-year-old sparked the Black Lives Matter movement and highlighted police brutality in its most horrific form.
