A long-standing music legend has finally been confirmed. After years of speculation, Michael Jackson has been revealed as one of the composers and writers on the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 soundtrack.
The news was revealed by Yuji Naka, the creator of the iconic franchise, in celebration of Sonic’s 31st anniversary.
In a tweet, Yuji said, “Sega Official uses Michael Jackson’s music” in response to the soundtrack on the packaged re-release Sonic Origins that does not include the music composed by Jackson.
Elswhere on TikTok, Yuji posted, “Sega Official uses Michael Jackson’s music.”
Yuji later posted a picture to Twitter showing his travels to the late Jackson’s Neverland Ranch which he visited back in the 90s.
Up until now, Sega has always denied Michael Jackson’s involvement with the Sonic The Hedgehog soundtrack.
