A pair of Air Jordans worn by Michael Jordan himself during his rookie year have sold for a mad amount of money at an auction.
The pair of autographed Air Jordan 1s were expected to sell for between $100,000 and $150,000 but ended up going for a whopping $560,000 in an auction which closed on Sunday (May 17).
The trainers were designed for Michael Jordan in 1985 and served as his first signature sneaker.
The auction – held by Sotheby’s who are most known for selling multi-million dollar art – coincides with the Jordan brand’s 35th anniversary, and the series finale of Netflix’s The Last Dance documentary which focuses on the legacy of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
