The BAFTA Awards are back for another year, and with some of the most prestigious awards in British film being up for grabs, the biggest and most talented names in UK film are being tipped for the sought after prizes on the 2nd of February.
With categories stretching over television, film, games and many more, one of the most anticipated awards is the EE Rising Star Award and Top Boy and Blue Story’s very own Micheal Ward has been nominated for the award.
Through delivering flawless performances in one of Netflix’s most popular series of 2019 in Top Boy, and with Blue Story becoming the third highest grossing film of the weekend it debuted, it is only right that Ward should be tipped for the prize.
Other nominees for the Rising Star Award include Awkwafina, Jack Lowden, Kaitlyn Dever and Kelvin Harrison Jr, who have all delivered great performances themselves over the last twelve months.
