With the Xbox Series X dropping later this year, Microsoft have decided to keep games hyped for its release by revealing more details about the console’s specs.
The official Xbox twitter account announced the new information on the Series X earlier today (February 25), writing: “Power + speed + compatibility = Xbox Series X”
“12 teraflops and so much more. Discover what the next generation of gaming means to Xbox”.
To speed up load times, the Xbox Series X will feature an NVMe SSD, as well as 12 teraflops of GPU performance – which is double that of the Xbox One X.
The Xbox Series X will also include a Quick Resume feature, enabling users to switch between multiple games, letting you jump right in where you left off.
Microsoft will also feature Dynamic Latency Input to shorten the delay between pressing the button and what appears on the screen, making gameplay more responsive.
Xbox chief, Phil Spencer, said: “Xbox Series X delivers a true generational leap in processing and graphics power with cutting edge techniques resulting in higher framerates, larger, more sophisticated game worlds, and an immersive experience unlike anything seen in console gaming”.
