Mike Tyson has been offered over $20 million to take part in a fight for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Earlier this month, the BKFC offered Mike Tyson $20 million to take part in the championship but now it has been reported the organisation will offer more money in addition to charitable donations.
In addition to the large sum, it has been reported the former heavyweight champion will get to choose his opponent from the roster of BKFC fighters.
The president of BKFC, David Feldman, has said: “I think I know what we need to do to make this thing happen.”
At the beginning of this month, Feldman spoke to Heavy.com, where he said: “While we did make a guaranteed offer of $20 million for Mike [Tyson] to fight for BKFC, we’re open to many different options as to how we can work together. Obviously, the excitement of seeing Mike’s video showing himself training and desire to participate in exhibitions inspired us to reach out and make the offer.” Feldman told Heavy.com.
If Mike Tyson accepts the offer, it will be his first professional fight since 2005.
Rumours of Tyson’s return to boxing have begun to excite fans of the sport following videos of his intense training sessions on social media in recent times. Now that there are rumours of him fighting in the BKFC, it looks like we could see the boxing star back in the ring very soon.
