Miraa May is back with a fresh new single called “Wild Things” and an emotive visual to match.
Directed by Charlie Di Placido, Miraa May opened up about the themes of the video on Instagram and wrote, “This video is for anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence/abuse. I grew up with my abuser at my side. I’m lucky to have made it out and I’m proud to say I helped the rest of my family make it out too. I am a miracle. I was never meant to be here doing what I’m doing. I changed the script my life was meant to follow with God by my side.
“This is a personal one for me, I’m not afraid anymore. You’ll understand more when you hear the album. Thank you to my beautiful co-stars for holding me down and to the director without whom I would have never had the chance to express myself so deeply. I’m finally willing to put my life on display if it means I can help people the way music has helped me. Enjoy.”
Taken from her soon to be released debut album Tales of a Miracle, “Wild Things” is a layered and intense release that has received the visual it deserves.
