DJ Vlad has dropped the latest segment of his recent interview with Mist.
In this clip, the Birmingham born rapper explains his usage of Punjabi words in his music, clarifying that “Karla” actually means “black man”. Growing up in Birmingham, where there is a huge Asian population, Mist had a lot of Punjabi friends. He can’t speak the language per se, but he certainly picked up a lot of “the lingo”.
This will undoubtedly open up the meaning of his track “Karla’s Back” to those who didn’t already know what the word meant.
