It has now been announced that double BAFTA winner Mo Gilligan will be the host of the 2022 BRIT Awards!
The comedian and presenter unveiled the news on social media this afternoon (November 22).
“Excited To Announce I’m going to be your host for the 2022 @brits Awards,” Mo wrote. “This is a huge honour for me and being a fan of music I can’t wait [to] bring fun, unlimited vibes and an award show the music fan can feel part of #BRITs love for the continued support it always means a lot.”
It has also been revealed that Maya Jama and Clara Amfo will take on presenting duties for the BRITs’ nominations show and the BRITs 2022 red carpet.
Due to take place on Tuesday 8th February 2022 at The O2 Arena, the BRIT Awards will be a celebration of the best in British music over the past year.
Mo Gilligan will replace fellow comedian Jack Whitehall who has hosted the past four editions of the BRITs.
It’s not the first time Mo has hosted a music awards show, having presented the Rated Awards alongside Julie Adenuga in both 2019 and 2020.
Mo’s new BRITs role is another big accolade to add to his ever-growing list of achievements and we can definitely expect “unlimited vibes” when the award ceremony takes place next February.
