Comedian Mo Gilligan has announced the news that his Netflix special Momentum will be released on September the 30th. The special will air worldwide in 140 countries and as if that wasn’t impressive enough, Mo is the first black UK comedian to get a Netflix special.
In a post on Instagram, Mo said, “After selling 50,000 tickets on my debut tour it was only right the world got to see it. I changed the name to Momentum as this was meant to be the name of my first 1 man show but I could afford to take it to Edinburgh in 2017. Co-produced by my own production company Momo G Productions and Lucky 17”.
Not only has he dropped this huge news, but tonight also sees the finale of his channel 4 production The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan. After a stint on as the co-host on The Big Narstie Show, Mo went on to secure his very own Friday night spot, welcoming guests such as Maya Jama, Anderson.Paak and Danny Dyer.
As his career continues to go from strength to strength, Mo followed up on his news telling followers on his social media, “This is the hardest secret I’ve had to keep to myself.”
