Mo Gilligan has announced the release of his first ever book, That Moment When…Life Stories From Way Back Then.
The award-winning comedian revealed the news on Instagram this morning (March 31), writing: “Super excited to announce I’ve written my first ever book 🙌🏾 #ThatMOmentWhen ‘Life Stories From Way Back Then’.”
He added: “At times it can feel like a blur but there was a Mo many years before any success came and that grind moulded me into the person I am today and it bring me such pleasure to share these fun stories with you.”
Scheduled for release on September 2nd, the book will see Mo share some childhood memories from his upbringing in south London while exploring his journey to be one of the nation’s most-loved comedians at the moment.
An official synopsis for the book reads: “Journeying through childhood memories in South London, Mo reminisces about school days and old-school raving, and takes us behind the scenes of his first comedy gigs, the creation of the original Geezer, selling out national tours and becoming one of TV’s most in-demand stars.”
That Moment When is yet another big venture from Mo who scooped up the Entertainment Performance Award at last year’s BAFTAs for his hosting abilities over on Channel 4’s The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.
Since then, he has continued to stay busy and served as a panel member on ITV’s The Masked Singer, released Black British & Funny the documentary, hosted the Rated Awards for the second time and more.
