A recent report sheds light on the profound impact of the pandemic on global mental health, with the UK featuring high on the list of unhappiest people.
The “Mental State of the World” report, conducted by the Global Mind Project, surveyed over 400,000 individuals across 71 countries, revealing a concerning decline in mental wellbeing since 2020.
This annual study, initiated by the nonprofit neuroscience research organisation Sapien Labs in 2019, utilises the Mental Health Quotient (MHQ) to evaluate various facets of mental health. Participants are segmented into categories ranging from “thriving” to “distressed” based on their MHQ scores.
