Birmingham’s Mowgs has released his long-awaited second mixtape, The Bare Necessities.

Serving as the follow-up to his 2019 debut Roll The Dice, this project houses seventeen original songs and sees Mowgs use his laid-back style to deliver hard-hitting cuts such as “Swerve Off” with MIST, as well as more emotive tracks like “Girl From Erdz” and “Back To Them Days”.

MIST isn’t the only guest to feature on this album as we also hear Mowgs team up with the likes of Rimzee, Country Dons, SK and Haze The Martian.

Bare Necessities was originally scheduled for release back in March before being pushed back to today. After a slight delay, the mixtape is finally here for us all to take in.

“Firstly I jus wanna thank my day 1 supporters who been rocking wit me from the jump for being so patient wit me,” Mowgs wrote on Instagram when announcing the new tape in February. “The past 4years I let my personal issues stop me from releasing music, but I finally realised the life I chose to live is always gonna bring me problems.

“I call this tape The Bare Necessities, because I really came up off the bare necessities. It’s definitely been worth the wait.”
