East London singer-songwriter Murkage Dave has accompanied the release of his new single with news of his upcoming album!
Titled “World I Want To Live In”, this AARRT-produced, piano-led song is a thoughtful one from Murkage Dave who highlights the importance of empathy, as well as the pitfalls of social media.
“If things are gonna get better we all need to help each other out,” Dave said when explaining the track. “I also explored the paranoia that social media can place on you. I’m only ever a few clicks away from someone who thinks i’m subhuman, on social media these people are faceless, so it creates this subconscious fear when you’re out in the street. Who are these people?”
“World I Want To Live In” is taken from Murkage Dave’s newly announced sophomore LP, The City Needs A Hero, which is dropping on May 27th. The project is expected to feature the previously released “Us Lot”, “Awful Things” and “Please Don’t Move To London It’s A Trap”.
