There’s a new wave of talent emerging; an underground shift in soundscape, energy and creative diversity coming from a selection of underground artists. Underground – but totally undeniable in their own right.
#NextGen10 is a selection of our favourite independent new generation artists on the come up, and whilst you might not be familiar with some of the names on the calendar, you won’t regret paying attention.
The ninth entry to #NextGen10 is South London duo Temz and Berry, aka CL!PSTAR. As postcodes go, South London has definitely been causing a rumble for a minute now – producing some of the hottest rappers in the game (think Krept & Konan, G FrSH, Stormzy, Bonkaz). CL!PSTAR are no exception.
The duo pride themselves on experimental use of genres; never afraid to bring together Hip Hop, with Rock or an element of Pop. And all while keeping their sound authentic and quintessentially British. Their GRM exclusive “Who Do U Wanna Be?” is a great example, with CL!PSTAR morphing iconic Trap beats and their contrasting flows.
Their plan for this year is to curate art and really have fun with the music, further experimenting with sounds and collaborating with different European producers. They’re completed project, produced by Tanaka Samuel should be released before Summer.
Keep up with their journey via Twitter @clipstardom.
