Nando’s has temporarily closed some of its restaurants across to UK due to supply chain issues in England, Wales and Scotland.

The popular restaurant group has closed 50 of its stores after reportedly running out of its famous peri-peri chicken.

After some customers complained about local store closures, Nando’s put out a tweet last night (August 17) to say “the UK supply chain is having a bit of a ‘mare right now.”

“This is having a knock-on effect with some of our restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales,” it added.

“We are doing everything we can to get the peri-peri back where it belongs – on your plates!”

Nando’s also confirmed none of its restaurants in Northern Ireland have been affected by the shortage.

The company added that the situation is changing rapidly and suggested customer check their website before they visit stores.
