After many of us have been anticipating the release of the third season of Stranger Things, this week finally saw it hitting our screens once again. The Netflix Original sci-fi series has already within the past five days broken the platforms streaming record.
Netflix announced on Monday via Twitter that the season has already broken records with over 40.7 million household accounts viewing it within its first four days. They went on to state that this is ‘more than any other film or series’ seeing over 18.2 million account holders already completing the entire season.
Putting the figures into perspective, when the second season was released back in October 2017 Netflix announced that the first episode of the season accumulated 15.8 million views.
The figure given by Netflix apparently does not take into account those who stream on phones, laptops, and other devices, this is a simple recording of those who have watched on the TV.
