Netflix has just announced a game-changing new feature that will revolutionise the way you binge-watch your favourite content.

Netflix are finally unveiling the option to turn off autoplay.

For some, the autoplay feature which automatically starts playing audio and visuals from a film or episode when you hover over it on the homepage is unbearable.

In an effort to make their users happy, Netflix confirmed on Twitter that they will make the autoplay function customisable.

They said, “Some people find this feature helpful. Others not so much. We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear — members can now control whether or not they see autoplay previews on Netflix.”

The autoplay feature is clearing polarising with some users claiming it is integral to their user experience and others in a state of euphoria that it is being scrapped.

If you want to turn autoplay off – sign into Netflix from a web browser, go to manage profiles and select the profile you’d like to make changes on and then uncheck the autoplay option. Easy.

Netflix is home to a plethora of films and shows which attract mass followings including Top Boy, You, The Crown and more.

Drake recently confirmed that Top Boy is set to return to Netflix for season 4 – meaning that our Summerhouse binge sessions won’t be interrupted by other content.
