Several hospital procedures including blood transfusions and operations have been cancelled or rescheduled following a major cyber attack.
A critical incident has been declared as the likes of King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’, Royal Brompton and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital face disruption in their access to vital IT systems following the cyber attack. All hospitals affected use a system called Synnovis.
This news comes after a reported hack of the Ministry of Defence by China earlier this year.
