Not3s has returned with a new single titled “So Far Gone,” featuring Nigerian Afrobeats artist Mayorkun and paying homage to his roots.
The track, which infuses amapiano and afrobeats, marks a defining moment in the East Londoner’s career as he explores his Nigerian heritage and connection to Fela Kuti’s legacy. During a trip to Lagos, he was inspired by Bankulli, a Grammy-nominated Nigerian hitmaker, who encouraged him to continue the afrobeats story as a “son of the soil.” “So Far Gone” is a complex and catchy track, complete with percussive 808s and a vibrant music video shot in Nigeria featuring beautiful traditional dress.
