Oliva Nelson has returned with a brand-new single titled “Oblivion” – a stunning offering with a equally striking accompanying visual.
In the first release since her debut EP Back to you, the singer continues to prove why she has earned her position in the currently flourishing UK R&B scene.
The eerie violins and pensive piano are the perfect canvas for Olivia’s vocals which beautifully help set the scene for this track. Olivia describes the song as being about “a love lost and using different vices to help yourself cope with that feeling. It’s about being numb and free.”
The visual showcases the singers effortless performance abilities and creativity. The scenes swiftly move from black and white to colour with a lot of transitions between angles and perspective which really drives the tracks concept, giving a real feeling of spiralling and being slightly out of control.
