Manchester songstress Pip Millett has connected with the icon Ghetts to create a new single titled “Running”.
Speaking about the collaboration, Pip said “”Running” is about the tiresome reality of being black/a POC in an unequal white western world” and this perfectly sums up the powerful track which is led by the singer’s angelic vocals and lyrics such as “Black and free, I don’t think that’s a thing”.
Ghetts’ contribution is equally as striking as he delivers a thoughtful verse which touches on relations between the police and the Black community.
Like the song, the visuals for “Running” are captivating and show a Black woman attempting to escape the walls of a country estate filled with classical paintings.
