Since its release in the US this week, millions of people have been creating new Apple accounts and using APK applications to download Pokémon Go ahead of its delayed release in the UK.
The popular game uses augmented reality to allow Ash Ketchum aspirers to catch Pokémon in their living room, at their local pub or around some of London’s most popular locations.
Developed by Niantic in collaboration with Google Maps, Pokémon Go has seen Nintendo shares rise by more than 50%. It’s proving to be a favourite amongst a nostalgic crowd who are eagerly anticipating the release of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the newest editions in the series, which are set to drop in November this year.
You can download Pokémon Go at the Apple App Store or on the Google Play Store.
The game’s success has also raised interest in the franchise being made into a new feature film.
