Since the release of his debut album ‘Die A Legend’ nearly twelve months ago, Chicago rapper Polo G has paved his way through the competitive rap scene and the young rapper has gained respect from critics and fans across the globe for his powerful storytelling.
The artist dropped his highly anticipated album THE GOAT’ this month featuring appearances from Lil Baby, NLE Choppa, Stunna 4 Vegas, Mustard, and the late Juice WRLD.
The 21-year-old rapper switched up a Tupac classic on the album for his track “Wishing for a Hero” featuring BJ the Chicago Kid. Over a sample of the hit “Changes” by Pac in 1998, Polo focuses on overcoming his own struggles and touches on police brutality, prison, and even borrows some of Tupac’s original lyrics.
The powerful track finishes with Polo’s younger sister declaring his status as a GOAT as the pair walk hand in hand. “You finally made it big brother, you’re the GOAT,” she says.
