The Vatican has launched an investigation after Pope Francis’ Instagram account allegedly liked a raunchy photo of a bikini model.
Earlier this week, Brazilian model Natalia Garibotto noticed a photo of her wearing a schoolgirl’s outfit had been liked by @franciscus – the Pope’s Instagram account. She then posted a short video to her account which appeared to show the like.
Speaking to Barstool Sports, Garibotto joked: “My mum may hate my ass pics but the Pope be double-tapping.”
However, since the like caught the attention of many online users, the like has mysteriously disappeared.
According to the Catholic News Agency, the Pope’s social media accounts are handled by a team of employees and officials are now investigating how the incident happened.
