In some sad news from across the pond, popular Instagram photographer Christopher Serrano has been killed, after a stunt involving the New York subway went horribly wrong.

He was known for producing stunning city scapes of his home town New York, often using daring angles that required him to climb up a building and other risky maneuvers.

Now it seems his need for the perfect shot was ultimately the reason for his demise. His body was found nearby the Fourth Avenue/9th Street station, where it is thought he has attempted to “subway surf” the F train.

This involved him climbing on top of it and riding the rooftop through out the subway network. Investigators he was clipped or collided with something whilst up there.

Tributes have been pouring in over the weekend, including from his brother, Ryan. He wrote in a post, “I lost my brother today. My first best friend. I’ll never forget our adventures. You took me to my first rooftop, my first abandoned building, first tunnel.

“This house will never be the same without you. I love you, brother… Thank you everyone for your kind words. I really appreciate all the support.”

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this tragic time.

It’s lonely up here.
