It’s been ten years since UK music history was made with the release of Training Day. The first iteration of Potter Payper’s series is seen as a bastion of real UK rap music and its cultural relevance still persists today.

Interweaving sensationally raw storytelling with intricate flow patterns and delivery laced with true conviction, it’s as brilliant now as it was at the time of release. Indeed, the last decade has seen a seismic shift in the landscape of the UK music scene, and this project has both shaped what has come after it whilst also continuing to stand out as an exceptional piece of art.

As a result, it was only right that such a monumental anniversary was commemorated correctly and that’s exactly what Potter Payper himself has done. Creating an 18 minute mini documentary, Potter draws on insights and testimonials from the likes of Headie One, Unknown T and M Huncho, as they take turns to explore the significance of the project to themselves individually and also the wider culture.

Whether you’re a bona fide Potter stan or a casual fan, this video is guaranteed to provide memorable insight into the true importance of the project that promises to be a perennial feature in UK rap history. Be sure to check it out below, and keep it locked on GRM for further Potter Payper updates.
