Following the surprising announcement made by the Kensington Palace Twitter account just over a week ago, newly-engaged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their way to South London today, to visit youth-led station Reprezent Radio. As they arrived at the station which is based in Brixton, the pair were greeted with crowds of excited people screaming their names.

On arrival, the couple made a big effort to say a few words to each individual who had turned up to see them outside of the radio station before they ventured into the station to meet the young people and DJ’s who have been apart of Represent radio. The pair listened to an on-air broadcast and took the earphones to hear a glimpse of Pote Read’s track, “Flirt”.

Once they had sat down and spoke to a few of the young people involved with the station, the soon to be married couple answered a few questions from station manager Adrian Newman, who proposed a question aboutgender equality. Prince Harry insisted that Meghan was to answer this question stating, “She answers the questions.”

Shane Carey, CEO and Founder of Reprezent Radio confirmed that it was Meghan and Prince Harry who approached the station to ask for a visit after they learnt about its work with The Queen’s Young Leaders. The couple spent a total of 45-minutes at the station, making it clear that they didn’t want to be on air, but to speak to the young people involved instead.
