A new comedy series titled PRU is coming to the BBC!

The comedy series follows four teens, Jaedan (Michael ‘MBbants’ Boahen), Belle (Pia Somersby), Halil (Jaye Ersavas) and Hanna (Kosar Ali) as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence, work together through Year 10 and cause chaos for teachers in a Public Referral Unit – a school for excluded kids – after being permanently excluded from their previous schools.

The cast also stars Kerry Godliman (Jean) Tom Moutchi (Anthony) and Umit Ulgen (Berdan).

The pilot of the show is set to be available on BBC iPlayer on March 2nd, which will be followed by a full 4-part series on BBC Three in the future.

Teddy Nygh the director says: “We are incredibly proud of what we have created together with the writers, the young team at Fully Focused, our amazing cast and the whole process from Insta Live castings to our phenomenal crew, who worked so hard to create the show during the pandemic.

“To now get the series commissioned we are over the moon and can’t wait to raise the bar again, whilst ensuring the authenticity and humanity of our leading characters shine through.”
