Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and rap veteran Raekwon have opened the doors for fans to begin funding their new documentary, The Purple Tape Files, through FanBacked- a popular crowd-sourcing tool.
By donating to the development of the documentary through FanBacked, fans have the opportunity to redeem a host of rewards such as having their own mixtape reviewed by the legends after donating $200. Other rewards include, for $1000, full admission to every Raekwon show over the next five years, for $2500, a studio session with Raekwon, and for $4000 fans can spend an entire day with Raekwon himself.
The opportunity to be a part of the documentary, which is based around Raekwon’s “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx”, will only last 60 days before the film, previewed at Sundance Film Festival, releases.
