London singer Rasharn Powell delivers his new single “Raving In Our Bedroom”.
Exploring both personal and societal ills through the lens of a relationship, the track is led by his profound lyrics that capture feeling of rejection due to his race. The 70’s inspired production from Tropics creates a sensual tone, despite the serious subject matter, with moody strings cutting deep.
Speaking on the track he said, “There’s a truth we must face when in our bedrooms. That inner truth is specific to each and every one of us, and others may be able to empathise with it but not always comprehend it. By God’s grace, the story I’m about to take the world on is one of ascension, but I can only do so through narrating my personal conviction and sins.”
Rasharn Powell worked with Tayler Prince-Fraser, who captured and directed the vignettes for “Raving In Our Bedroom”, this visual showcases him in his sinful stage at the start of his journey.
