After teasing this incredible and didn’t-know-we-needed-it-til-we-got-it collaboration at her headline show in Hoxton last month with the big man himself, before taking over the radio with the CDQ, Ray BLK now presents us with the “My Hood” official video featuring Stormzy.

The stunning new visual takes the two South London natives through the ends, bringing to life the pictures of the hood that Ray paints in her lyrics. Director Hector Dockrill keeps things minimal in the clip, keeping the music at the forefront.

Ray BLK said of the video to ‘Dazed‘ magazine, “I’ve been getting older, I’ve been realising that where I’m from is not a very nice place, to put it quite plainly. When I was younger, growing up, you don’t really realise what’s going on around you. I was saying to one of my friends, every day I’d see a police car, every day I’d hear sirens…

“But I also saw the beauty in where I’m from, like the people, the culture, so there’s good and bad and that’s what I wanted to speak about in the song.”
