Hip-Hop artist and freestyle champion J.R. Writer may have just revealed the real reason for Dipset’s break up.
In a recent interview with DJ Vlad, the rapper explains why legendary East Coast hip hop group The Diplomats drifted apart, stating that Cam’ron’s beef with 50 Cent had an influence.
This was largely thought to be the cause, but Writer confirmed, “It was a little bit after Cam had the beef with 50. Cam had moved to Orlando and nobody could contact him, so everyone was basically doing their own thing… we had no choice.”
The rapper was further questioned about Dipset’s infamous eagle logo appearing on different artist’s albums, with Cam allegedly suing fellow group member Jim Jones for using it on his album.
He responded, “No, I ain’t gonna lie, I didn’t hear about that. Honestly, I did get a cease and desist letter from Asylum because Asylum owned 50% of it. Cam wasn’t trippin’. It’s not my business anyway because I’m not an owner of Dipset.”
