To celebrate the 10th anniversary of her viral hit “Friday”, Rebecca Black has shared a remix to the track alongside Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3.
In 2011 before breaking the internet was an actual phrase, a 13-year-old Rebecca Black done just that with the release of her contagious single “Friday”, which has currently been viewed on YouTube over 149 million times.
Now, 10 years later to mark its anniversary and to celebrate the single going gold – Rebecca is back with a new remix with additional vocals from Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3.
“I’d had the idea to do this remix of Friday for years leading up to now, but honestly it was also mildly insane for me to think anyone else would want to be a part of it,” Rebecca said of the remix in a statement.
“As I started talking about it with other artists and producers, I couldn’t believe how stoked people were about it. I am thrilled to have some of my favorite artists (and people) as a part of this moment.”
