London-based singer, songwriter and producer Reuben Aziz delivers his new single “Healing” this week.
Closing out a three-part series, the tune covers the post-relationship emotions that capture everything someone learns, loves and lets go, marking a relatable process for all. Having embraced the additional stages of a relationship in recent singles “Running” and “come thruuu“, the ultimate narrative of the trilogy is not rushing to love someone if you don’t love yourself, told through his vulnerable songwriting throughout.
Speaking on the track, Reuben Aziz said, “Healing is a really important song to me. I played with many different sonics and sounds, which I used to try to make the song sound like the feeling of the word. The trilogy tells the story of the relationship which begins the pre-relationship awkwardness into the fun elements of the relationship and then onto the end to the relationship. It’s a process that people can relate to.”
