In an all-new Noisey documentary, Chuckie heads to Accra, Ghana to explore the depths of Ghanaian drill.

Both the UK and US have had very successful waves of the drill movement, subsequently paving the way for Ghana to follow suit.

Stirring up the attention in particular is 19-year-old Yaw Tog who emerged onto the scene with huge banger ‘Sore’, enlisting UK linchpin Stormzy for the remix.

Taking the trip from London, presenter Chuckie explores the ins and outs of the individuals leading the way of the music scene in the area which features Yaw Tog’s Mother and Grandmother.

Prioritising staying fresh 24/7, the Kumericans follow the slogan “Never Get Caught Unfresh” something they religiously stand by. The new generation of artists hail from the villages of Kumasi, created a sound inspired by the late rapper Pop Smoke giving it their own name ‘Asakaa’.
