Rockstar Games is reportedly working on a series of remastered Grand Theft Auto games.

GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City were originally available to play on Playstation 2, but according to Kotaku the trilogy of games is undergoing a process of remastering. This means the popular video games will soon be available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC.

Take-Two interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, recently gave confirmation that three new games were in the pipelines. However, we are yet to know if it will be the GTA games in question.

One source has stated that the games will be “heavily modified versions of existing titles” but gamers can still expect authentic gameplay. Supposedly, we can expect a digital release across the majority of platforms this year, but mobile and PC versions will become available in 2022.

The era of PS2 games is something widely spoken about amongst gaming fans, so the prospect of being able to relive some of our fondest gaming memories is extremely compelling.
