The football fan who fought against the London Bridge attackers has given an interview to the BBC.
Roy Larner fought the attackers giving others a change to get to safety, while shouting “f-ck you, I’m Millwall”.
Larner revealed that he need “80 – 100” stitches after being stabbed in the body and neck. Looking back on the incident he said, “I took a good hiding but apparently stopped them [long enough] to give people a minute or so to get out”.
He also revealed that while he’s uncomfortable with the whole “hero” image, he has enjoyed receiving gifts from people around the world. “Even West Ham fans have sent me cards and money”.
