With the founding member of Ruff Sqwad having an EP due for release shortly in the form of ‘Rapid Fire, Vol 2’, Prince Rapid is already due to have a great start to the Summer. In addition to ‘Rapid Fire, Vol 2’, it has just been announced that Rapid will release ‘The Rapid EP’ with Butterz – a label well known for vinyl releases.
Butterz took to Twitter to announce that the forthcoming release in vinyl – as expected – and their store informs us that the shipment will be on July 24th.
Butterz head-honcho Elijah informed us all on Twitter that, as usual, art direction for the cover is by DK with photography from James Gould. Elijah informed us that the artwork on the cover of ‘The Rapid EP’ is a piece of art in Bow that Ruff Sqwad took a photo in front of 10 years ago. Luckily for Butterz, the piece still existed when they went down to check it out.
So, with ‘Rapid Fire, Vol 2’ being released on iTunes on June 22nd and ‘The Rapid EP’ being released on Butterz on July 24th, I’m sure it’ll be a good start to the Summer for Rapid.
‘Rapid Fire, Vol 2’ will include the Pepper Riddim instrumental which has already been vocalled by Chip, Yungen, P Money and Bonkaz as well as 4 other tracks. It’s available to pre-order now from iTunes.
‘The Rapid EP’ will include Pepper Riddim and 3 extra unheard tracks. It’s available to pre-order now from the Butterz store.
Be sure to check back often to the Butterz store as the work rate is crazy over there, now with 5 EPs available from this year alone – including ‘The Rapid EP’ and ‘t q d’, ‘Royal-T’, ‘S-X’, and Footsie EPs which are all sick – as well as a the T-shirt they dropped to commemorate 5 years of Butterz.
Be sure to keep up to date with and on Twitter to get a heads up on all news.
