‘Rush Hour’ Set To Get A Female Reboot

It has just been revealed by The Hashtag Show that STX Studios are in the early stages of development for a reboot of Rush Hour.

It is believed that there will be two female leads who will be playing equivalent versions of Detective James Carter and Inspector Lee, with reports speculating that Chinese actress Li Bingbing will be taking on Jackie Chan’s former role.

The Rush Hour trilogy kicked off in 1998 when the first instalment was released, the film was a box-office success grossing over $245 million.

This led to respective sequels being released in 2001 and 2007, with all the films being directed by Brett Ratner and grossing over a combined $850 million, this news will no doubt have fans of the original trilogy excited.
