Prime Minister is reportedly considering a national month-long lockdown in England as the COVID-19 pandemic appears to have surpassed previous predictions.

As early as Monday (2nd of November), Boris may announce a stay at home order which would see schools and universities exempt.

However, Sky News is reporting that as the news has been leaked to the press much earlier, Boris may give a speech as early as this weekend.

It is hoped that this lockdown will “save Christmas” as the worst-case scenario of 85,000 winter coronavirus deaths looks to be overtaken if no action is taken.

This news follows Government whispers that London is set to follow counties and cities in the North East of England into Tier 3 level restrictions as cases continue to rise.

Under tier 3, pubs and bars must close and no mixing of households is allowed except for within support bubbles.

Public transport is also restricted to essential use only.
