Police have reported a number of injuries in a shooting in the Dutch city of Utrecht.
A gunman is said to have opened fire in a tram at 10:45am (local time) in a square outside the city centre. The gunman is then reported to have fled the scene, according to the news website AD.
A spokesman for the police said : “Several shots were fired in a tram and several people were injured.
“Helicopters are at the scene and no arrests have been made”.
The Dutch police have also tweeted “In this we also take into account a possible terrorist motive”.
The incident in the Netherlands comes just days after 50 people were killed in terror attacks in mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.
