The heat on Michael Dapaah’s Big Shaq just keeps on coming through.
You may have seen the clip of retired NBA legend Shaquille O Neil walking out to a live band’s rendition of “Mans Not Hot” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week, well now Shaquille’s taken the fact that the two have the same name into his own hands by releasing a diss track for Big Shaq featuring Canadian rapper ShaqisDope.
The track opens with O’Neill stating, “There is only one Big Shaq, it is I the original, the dominator,” and goes on to send shot after shot for the London MC. Canadian ShaqisDope even draws for the bars, “plus I know you’re from London, go have the tea with the biscuits,” straight fire.
The track wouldn’t be complete without sampling the original “the ting goes skrrraaaa” vocals of course and you can listen the the whole thing above now.
“Man’s Not Hot” currently is sitting at number 23 in the UK singles charts, but with sends from the States now happening, its rise is surely not over yet.
