North-west London singer Sharna Bass has blessed us with a personalised rendition of Dubz and Giggs’ legendary street tune “Pain Is The Essence”.
Titled “Shine On Me”, this offering sees the talented singer, songwriter and self-taught producer delve into her vocal bag to put a spin on the classic anthem, while proving why she is one of the most sought after voices in the scene.
Bass does a great job at portraying the powerful emotion of love in her vocals while maintaining the mellowed atmosphere of the channel U classic, allowing for Dubz to get his bars off.
Sharna explains: “I wanted to make something that felt timeless and my team have always been a big fan of the track, “Pain Is The Essence”! When singing on the beat, it gave me a nostalgic feel and having Dubz on it is the cherry on top.”
