North-west London’s Sharna Bass has gifted us with a new EP titled Imperfections.
Sharna Bass is most known for her contributions to the UK R&B scene but on Imperfections, she ties in her love for hip-hop and jazz to create a well-rounded body of work.
The EP’s rap influences are most evident on the collaborative tracks with Potter Payper, Arz and Dubz – the latter Sharna links up with to flip the classic rap anthem “Pain Is The Essence”.
Imperfections is an exhibition of Sharna’s vocal range and her production skills as she produces “Arz Interlude” while co-producing “Time Heals” with Roark Bailey. Other production credits come from Emil and Sid Bravo.
Speaking on the EP, Sharna says: “Imperfections is about self-examining faults and blemishes in yourself and around you and being able to get through them”.
