Shizzi is back, but this time, he’s not just producing hits. The Grammy-nominated producer, who has shaped some of the biggest records in Afrobeats, has teamed up with his latest signee, Taylor, for their first release on OBG Records.

The result is “Famous”, a warm, addictive afrofusion love record. The track was made during a trip to Johannesburg. Shizzi was crafting the beat in the moment, flipping a hypnotic Indian sample into bright chords, space, percussion, and that subtle bounce. South African bassist Siyabonga Wonder Hlengetwa added live bass to bring texture and movement — the kind you feel in your chest, not just your ears.

Lyrically, “Famous” is about that moment where success is starting to show — the attention, the noise, the temptation — but your heart is still locked in on one person. Tayor balances the confidence of someone who knows he’s going up with the softness of someone who still feels deeply. The cheeky lines, the Yoruba slips, the flirty metaphors… It’s playful but still emotional. Lines like “with that face card you can rule the world” and “since I got famous, new girls every turn” paint the picture clearly — there’s access, there’s temptation, but there’s also focus. He’s flexing, but he’s still choosing who means something and staying true to himself.

For Shizzi, this is more than just a release — it’s the beginning of what he’s building with OBG: real artist development, real craft, real intention. And for Tayor, this is a strong entrance. He’s got the tone, the pen, the presence — and he’s clearly just getting started.
